B.R. Ambedkar was born on 14th April 1891 in Mhow , Madhya Pradesh. He cleared matriculation from the Elphinstone High School in 1908 . Studied Economics from the Columbia University, New York. Awarded Doctorate degree in Economics by the University of Columbia on 8th June 1927 . He was one of the crusaders of caste discrimination and untouchability. He was appointed as the first Law Minister of independence India . He was made the constitutional drafting committee and considered as the chief architect of Indian constitution. He was awarded the prestigious Bharat Ratna award in 1990. He is known as the father of the Indian Constitution. He fought against the best racial discrimination and social injustice faced by the Dalits and other backward classes of India. His efforts for abolished the ages old caste system in India were unprecedented. His efforts played a crucial role in shaping the future of secular and United India. He died on 6th December 1956 at his home in Delhi .
